Welcome to the piano forum.  I'm not sure, but I heard that Stradivarius made a pretty good instrument.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I don't know anything about violins, but there a few members that do. Perhaps you'll get a response.

sound!!!!!!!!!!!! and is it stable or not. also who is it made by and when was it made. make sure you're not being ripped off so take someone who knows about violins along with you and take your time.

When you ask about string instruments, bear in mind that the piano is a string instrument.

It is also a percussion instrument.
