That was pretty good!

Only thing I would do is add a little more dynamics.

good start on it!  now it's time to polish...

1: stop using metronome if you're using it currently -- sounds somewhat mechanical.  a bit more rubato will go a long way, provided it is used correctly.

2: dynamics... not all notes in this prelude have equal importance.  figure out which are most important and create a hierarchy so that it makes more musical sense.  Also, create musical shapes by phrasing the melody using cresc  and dim.

Those I think are the main issues.  I'd love to hear another recording after incorporating some of this!

Rubato, as far as I know, is basically increasing or decreasing tempo.

Do you think this recording is good enough to use as one of my pieces on my audition cd?

Or should I try again?

An audition CD should be an example of your current playing ability, so if you feel that this is the best you can do at the moment, then it is good enough.  It's not a bad recording by any means, just a recording that can be improved upon.  As any real musician will attest, ANY recording can be improved upon...

do you feel this piece is of decent difficulty?

i mean, i have only been playing a year, so this is the best i can do.

i can play a polonaise by chopin, but i hate the piece, so its not musical at all.
