I wonder if I have to be Dutch or at least have a better sense of the "Dutch sense." Doesn't that sound superficial? And I don't even know what I mean.
Four-handed piano..
What do you guys think of this toccatina by kapustin:
Oh my god, I've seen this one come up before on this thread. The piano should get a restraining order on that beast. She just looks so awkward, flipping her hands around and all. Haha I think I've favorited it on youtube just because I get a good laugh each time I see it.She does have decent octaves though... I'll give her that.
"SHE"?!
I wasn't sure about "her/him/it"'s gender either and I actually know someone who looks almost exactly like the person and she's a girl.
her performance was to weak and dry, she is better for Liszt and Chopin . Your playing of it is better.
I dson't find it to be a great piece anyway but I agree Mr. Pianowolfi's is 10x better.
I will never get bored of this horrible recording.
Talking about Kapustin I just saw this and it made me smile! Even matching flannel!
but I would not want to be the page turner here.
Imagine being the audience!
this guy just loves to show off everything... even his legs.&search=piano
i was just amazed by this video, and there are many more, even some by hamelin and cziffra that are even nearly as good!
Well this serious work may just be what one needs to start the day; but I would not want to be the page turner here. I think as observed he misses a few notes here and there but who cares as long as the overall impact is there! ENJOY !! Here is another piece by the composer pianist which really becomes so interesting starting 5 minutes. I think one must have an open mind to his unique approach and the posture he takes which is definitely non-traditional. ENJOY
