I had the pleasure of seeing the fusion guitarist Shawn Lane 3 times before he passed away.

He could play the hardest parts of the goldbergvariations on his guitar and sing "what the left hand plays on the piano" at the same time

Incredible

Here is Kapustin playing his Toccata, Op. 8 with a big-band. Great video of one of his early works. Hopefully it will make it to publication and recording soon.

Lane was actually about  to transcribe and record Scriabin´s hardest etude and play it on electric guitar when he passed away.

Don´t know which one he was talking about unfortunately

He was a huge fan of Scriabin.

He was a huge fan of virtuosopiano in general and his favorite pianists were Art Tatum among the jazzplayers and Simon Barere among the classical ones.

He was also capable of playing a lot of Tatum´s trademark runs on piano.

I am looking for a good close-up video of Hamelin playing Alkan´s Concerto op.39, Godowsky´s 2 handed winterwind transcription, and his own triple-etude based on on Chopin.

I am also looking for a video of Libetta playing Godowsky´s 2 handed winterwind transcription

I am also looking for good videorecordings of Scriabin´s  Sonata no 7 and 8 and Ligeti etudes "Desordre" (not Banfelds) and Coloana Infinita

Anyone know where I can get them?

If you search for Hamelin on youtube, you will see one(1) video where he plays only the cadenza of the HR 2 in great quality. This is the same performance as all of those bad quality vids you have already seen(al leats I think so), this means that all of those videos also exists in good quality!
