I found amazing website

Hey guys I forgot to tell you that I have discovered a great ebook online byC.C. Chang it is called Fundamentals of Piano Practice. It is free and downloadable and is updated often. Lot's of information on technique and is easy to read and understand. I strongly recommend it, especially for those who think they learn pieces slow. Also information on learning on individual pieces bar by bar like Fantasy Impromptu. Check it out and tell me what you think of it. :-)

I checked this site out and found it to have a great deal of useful information.  His suggested practice techniques are being put to use immediately, since I have been unhappy with my rate of progress (I've played for 40 years, but now that I am retired I want to get serious again)  So, thanks for the tip...Oh, Yeah,  it turns out he lives only a few miles away!!

Great site !

Thx for posting that.  I was already doing some of the things that he suggested, i.e. learning small sections at a time, which makes it much more fun as you get to hear small completed sections of the piece to keep your interest up.

Hi guys,

Happy that you enjoyed that book that I also discovered very recently...

I took 4 years of piano lessons when I was between something like 10 and 14 (I am now 41 !) and since then, I come back to that instrument on a regular basis - but alone that time (knowing that this is surely not the best way to do...).

I find that book very interesting because it addresses many of the issues I have always had and even if cannot already measure whether it helps me make progress or not, I am trying to apply the suggestions it contains...

Unfortunately, Chang does not live a few miles away for Paris ! ;=)

I would definitely be more than happy to share more with you guys about piano and Chang's great book !

Sincerely
Drooxy
