Serenade of the doll - Pedalling
on: April 10, 2006, 03:58:30 PM
Hi, I'm about to start learning serenade of the doll, and grated I'm learning it on a rather poor keyboard with one rather poor pedal, but I'd like to know for future Reference. On the score I have there is a rather long french sentance at the bottom, which I have googled, and best I can tell it says something along the lines - The soft pedal should be held done for the duration of the piece, also the points marked F, can tell me if thats right?

Yep, that's right. The left pedal, sordino, what's it called in english again?, anyway, it should be kept down through the entire mouvement even in the forte passages.
