Does anyone one know german? can you translate this sentence?:
Oh my god, my dog fell in the river.
It sounds pretty awesome in German.
Oh mein Gott mein Hund ist in den Fluss gefallen

sounds like every other german sentence ;D

Yeah, but when you say it quyickly in an angry voice, sounds like you're cursing up a storm, but then again, all the sentences in german said angrily sound like you're cursing up a storm.
I once told an english kid to say "allez foutrer un Cochon" to the french teacher, damn, that was funny...

3 or 4, I can't believe that they trusted me or my friend who came up with the brilliant phrase.

My french immersion firends and I also managed to decipher "allez manger un chou sauvage" from a spanish song. (Go eat a wild cabage)  sounds kind of scary when you say it angrily.

Well, perhaps you are 'alwaystheangel' (which makes their trust misplaced abit)...

"allez manger un chou sauvage" - I'll have to say that tomy mum one day; she understands some french... though it might get me into trouble, she doesn't like cabbage so much.

it is.... at A-level our french teacher was shocked when they printed it in the exam guide (in the oral exam people were getting 'baiser' (to screw/***/words to that effect) mixed up with 'baisser' (to fall/decrease). i would love to be a french examiner.. some sentences people must come up with  ;D

as for my favourite word... umm.... i have too many... but dildo, clitoris and placenta have to be the best

My Media Studies teacher can say it. I'll try and get it recorded.

As for my fav word, gotta be 'mmmm'. It can mean so many different things and can be said in so many different ways. Technically it's not a word, but it's still my fav.

Bed is a good one, and a great sounding one right now.... *yawns*

'would love to be a french examiner.. some sentences people must come up with'

I half agree with that - the upside; reading other peoples... well... mistakes? (Bet they're thinking of firing ther person who typed that paper up).  The downside; listening to people pronouncing words wrong and not being able to wince outloud.  =)

(I'd probably fail the 'oral exam' outright. =)

Try this.

Say dyslexia, then lysdexia, then dylsexia, then syldexia, then sydlexia. Then repeat dyslexia three times and hear how odd it sounds.

Well, works for me, great time waster 8)

Logic is another funny one that sounds even more odd the more you say it.

my least favorite word is "commence." it's a french word intentionally pronounced wrong.  how *** up is that?  I also hate "Volkswagon" and "Porcshe" because it pisses me off how no one in North America seems to be able to say them right.
