New teacher joined the forum

Hi there,

I am Armand Simon, pianoteacher from Holland. I studied with Mila Baslawskaja and Alan Weiss.

It's nice to see there is a place where teachers can come together and share their knowledge.

regards,

Armand

Welcome to pianoforum  :)

I am a concertpianist and teaching some students privately.
Are you teaching in a school or is it privately?
Tell me about it...
Thanks!

Thanks for the interest, redberry. I'm a pianist and give private lessons to students at their house. At the moment I'm taking a break from performing. Just became father of a wonderful daughter, so familytime is very valuable.
It's difficult anyway to combine familylive with a career as a pianist. I think pianists are very a-social people. Performing is much more than just playing a few pieces. You must really breath music. But to archieve this, you unfortunately have to make sacrifices.

I was invited to give a series of recitals in the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005 in Holland, Belgium and Antilles. Of course I cannot refuse this offer. Here are my programs.

Program 1:
-Handel Suite D minor
-Debussy Suite Bergamasque
-Moussorgsky Pictures

Program 2:
-Chopin Ballade op 23
-Schumann Symphonic Etudes
-Prokofieff 6th sonata

regards,

Armand
