Pathetique Sonata_Slow Movement

Many people learn the slow movements of the sonatas first. What do you teach before the slow movement of Beethoven's Pathetique?

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Beethoven: Sonata Op. 13 in C Minor

Is your student not ready for that movement yet?

Nothing - teach it directly, if you feel it is time for the student to play a Beethoven Sonata.

Make your student play through an Opus 49 or Opus 14 before the Pathetique.
