Newbie asking who is Hanon?

Hi Guys although I am practicing Piano for over 7 years now although not much as you  ;)but I found this forum this year only and I keep reading about finger practicing and Hanon exercises and Chang exercises and I don't know anything about Hanon or chang so can anybody tell me if there is a website talking about these two pianists? and wheather there are official website for them? and how can I get their exercises?, I just found a one by chance while searching and It seems a lot complicated :o.

I started the Hanon exercises about a month and half ago (give or take a bit). I just went into a music store and saw it sitting there. I thought it would be good practice.

They start out not-so-complicated but get to some pretty interesting/challenging exercises. As for the history on Hanon and Chang, I don't know anything about that. I'd recommend Google ;)

Chang is some guy who wrote lotsa stuff on howta practice piano and such
