Well, apart from me obviously, I'm gonna have to say I'm a huge fan of Kissin's afro, I believe he keeps his scores in it in case he forgets a passage of two.  Argerich looks excellent when she's playing, wouldn't mess with her or her bingo wings.

Shawn Lane, because of his guitar playing.

***, for some reason someone flagged this video. Let me see if there is a way to see this video without registering. This is the only keyboard solo video I know.

Wait, this isn't about playing technique? legendary? Your 'random' use of language is really annoying.

the look of their face/ expression is what i mean

and its hard to tell how good shawn was at the keyboard technically since the majority of stuff he plays are 2-handed runs which arent the best ways to measure dexterity, if he did the 10/2 thatd be another matter.

obviously great technically on both instruments, but maybe because im not a fan of the style i just dont find his playing that interesting musically.

If Kissin's hair was red he'd look like Elizabeth I.

Haha it always panics me a little.  I'm just starting to really play pieces that require a fair bit of dextarity and ones that can get sweaty when I practise lol, so I'm always worried a little at what age pieces becoming impossible just from being elderly, I imagine my Bartok 153 would prove quite difficult to get any boistrousness into it, time will tell though.  Also, he would indeed look like Queen Elizabeth lol, and she does look good, still got the bingo wings though, they tell age more than wrinkles ever could.  Bo ' Selecta

I heard he learned some Liszt etudes, largely by ear. But I don't think he would play them that well. He never had lessons, never thought like a classical pianist, etc. So he shouldn't be supposed to play those pieces well.

While practicing he would probably end up improvising something instead of finishing the piece because some idea sprung into his mind.

to me, its got to be Gavrilov. but thats only what i think of him when performing, because i enjoy the way he makes it look like the worlds going to end.

When they're playing:

Richter looks like he makes the piano his b1tch every time he plays it.
Gould looks like he's in touch with a higher power
Cziffra makes it look like the instrument is merely an extension of his body

In-general-pregnant cat-aesthetics:

Gavrilov looks like some kind of loan shark who will break your knees if you don't pay up
Michelangeli looks like he could have you killed with a single phone call to his sicillian friends
Berman looks more massive than the piano itself  ;D
