on: April 30, 2006, 08:03:03 PM
I did this at school some days ago in the piano room. I know  near the end i speeded up the tempo a bit.If there is anything wrong please tell me.

Any advice to improve.

Thanks Nicco,

this is  the actual first piece i've learned with a teacher also. It's a fun piece to play, I like how loud it is,then gets soft in the middle, lol. ;D.

Well, I watched the video. :)

Did you practice this with a metronome? It sounds somewhat midi- I would try playing it more freely, more expressively. Try to make some variations in the repeats of the theme. The middle section- are you using the pedal? Try to make it sound smoother, and bring out the lines more. Also, it needs to be faster overall, I think.

Your dynamics seemed static as well, but that was probably just the recording.

Hope this helps! :)
[lau] 10:01 pm: like in 10/4 i think those little slurs everywhere are pointless for the music, but I understand if it was for improving technique

No i didnt practice this with a metronome,it has no diesired tempo on the one i have. But sometimes i have trouble playing witha metronome,i kno right ::). But Midi u say? I played it on a digital at school :-\.Umm more freely,so i take i'm too tense then, ok i will try this.Variations?I dont think i have enough experience yet to try that,if that makes any sense. And yes i did use pedal, it was a mistake,I have a bad habit of doing that,so i will simply disconnect it then.Smoother?i will try this then,i wish i had a real piano to practice on :(. And i shall speed it up as you say.Why isnt my teacher telling me this then?Well hes prolly losing his mind anyway since he is kinda a fossil ::)

Well I shall give this a try, and post a better one soon. Thanks for your help!! ;D :D
