Chopin's Ballade no.1 in g-minor (video)
on: May 01, 2006, 01:07:13 PM
This is my first topic here in Audition Room ;)

So, two months ago my teacher from high school (I'm second grade) gave me this ballade for competition (May 17). Besides this, I am preparing Mozart's a-minor sonata (I movement) and Liszt's HR no6.

In this two months somehow I did it. Not quite well, at least not yet, but I learnt it. Coda is still 'under construction' and I wish you don't take attention to it.  ;D

And you should take into consideration that my camera is low-quality and so my upright piano is. I will try to record it on Grand Stainway in school these days. That's why almost everything seems to be in 'mezzoforte'. :(

Anyway, I hope you will like it. Any comments are very welcome.

Very good, sounds nice, especially for just two months work. You shall have to get us a good quality recording so that we can enjoy you're fine playing in all its glory!

Btw, how old is second grade? Isnt that like 8 or something???

My camera have high-quality option, but I can record only 6 minutes video then... Maybe in two parts? ::)

Lol, yeah, that makes more sense! Eitherway, sounds great. Nice one  :)

You could do it in two parts yes, that would work. Or if you get the chance, maybe have someone at the school sort out an audio recording? All you'd need is two mic (preferably condensors), two mic pres (found on any mixer) and a computer.

You should see if the school has the facilites to allow you a recording on that grand you mentioned. I certainly would look forward to hearing this!

I am glad you like it :D

And about that recording with microphones - I think it's quite imposible. I don't know how to set up whole sistem in concert hall in my school. There are no computers or mics...

I will try to record it in two parts. Maybe tommorow already.

Thank you,

Haha, yeah me too. I love this piece but its way above my level.

I'll get there some day, but until then I shall have to make do with watching others  :'(
