Richard Meyrick Concert June 11th
on: May 05, 2006, 08:32:46 AM
At Abingdon Trinity church on Trinity Sunday to help refurbish the pipe organ. £10, £8 for oldies.
Beethoven - Appassionata
Chopin - Andante Spianato and Grande Pollonaise Brillante
Ballade No.1 in Gminor
Nocturne in C#minor Op.posth
Scriabin - Etude in C#minor Op.2 No.1
Liszt/trans Horowitz - Scherzo and March S.177
All the Chopin is from the film 'The Pianist'.
It sounds like a great programme, and I'm definately going! Anyone else? Supposedly you can get in for free, but I'd like to help fix the organ so I'm paying, and so are my friends. Hopefully I'll see some of you there!

I am readying myself to enjoy the Andante Spianato and Grande Pollonaise Brillante, it's a fantastic piece Imho.
