My Recital Video
on: May 13, 2006, 01:26:52 AM
Hi All,
I just had junior recital and decided I would post a video of it.  It is nowhere near perfect, even a few brief memory lapses.  But feedback would be greatly appreciated on as many pieces as you care to watch.  Thanks a lot!
I broke it up into 7 files
The Recital Program consists of

Part 1-

Scarlatti Sonata in A Minor, K. 54
Scarlatti Sonata in D Major, K. 119

Part 2-

Ravel La Vallee des cloches

Part 3-

Ravel Alborada del Gracioso
(Intermission)

Part4-

Brahms Capriccio in B Minor, Op. 76, No. 2
Brahms Intermezzo in Bb Minor, Op. 117, No. 2

Part 5-

Brahms Intermezzo in Eb Minor, Op. 118, No. 6

Part 6-

Chopin Etude in A Minor, Op. 25, No. 11

Part 7-

Liszt Transcendental Etude No. 4 in D Minor, "Mazeppa"

Woa boy I just finished watching the Mazeppa, and my only comment is play that d-a-m-n last note MUCH MUCH louder.  It was almost anti-climactic.  You should almost throw yourself off the bench while playing that last note.  But overall your super amazing with an awesome choice of rep.  It was great to hear you.

Thanks for everyone's replies.  I completely understand how you wanted the last note of Mazeppa to be louder.  The second I played it, it seemed insufficient.  I even considered doing a tremolo on the bottom octaves to make it louder, but decided not.
