My Recital- 2 Scarlatti Sonatas

I posted video files yesterday, and today I decided I would post audio just in case if people had slow internet connections.  As mentioned in the other thread, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

This contains 2 Scarlatti Sonatas:
A Minor K. 54
D Major K. 119

you sound amazing!  not too overpowering.

you know, you have to mix sides, imo.  when you play the chopin and liszt - have some restraint like the scarlatti and then when you play scarlatti - just a slight bit more expansiveness.

Really, it IS TOO FAST. There are several reasons:

K119 has a Spanish style in it. It seems that  pianiststrongbad  didn't get it .  A clear example of it are the opening chords ( a guitar ) . The typical rythm in the repeated notes, right after the opening chords, are spanish castanets .  The rythm is TA-ta-ta , TA-ta-ta.
You can't play THAT fast the castanets while dancing "flamenco". Maybe you could play fast the castanets but the dancer wouldn't be able to follow the dance.
After the quick scale , you have to be emotional, to the Spanish style. Impossible to transmit with all the speed.

I suggest you listen to "flamenco", the spanish dance. ( I don't know how to say it in English)

Thanks for everyone's replies.  To answer kimba's question, I have been playing piano for about five years.  Some of Scarlatti's music is very virtuosic, some is not.  So I am sure you could find something that you enjoy and could play well.

As far as the piece being too fast.  I actually have a harpsichord recording which goes faster.  I have also heard it on piano much slower.  And I must say I prefer the faster tempo, it has much more life.   It is titled allegro afterall which translates to happy.
