Great Video IMO

What do you think of him. He is one of my favorites ever.

The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

awesome videos.. thanks!   I always marvel at the jazz masters and how they're able to do this.  A couple of times I've played with a small jazz group, requiring an improv solo, but I can't imagine how you'd get this good at it :o

I used to do a LITTLE bit of jazz improve on guitar. Here's a few tips:

- Pentatonic blues scale is always handy

- Focus on the chords you're playing over, this really helped me to build viable melodies without too much brain strain

- Use chromatic runs to link together melodic 'licks'

- Parallel fourth triads are the jazz masters friend!
