VIDEO: Bartok Ostinato
on: May 19, 2006, 08:46:29 AM
Here is a piece of my favorite composer, Bartok. I am preparing this for a concert and I still need to work on it to improve it. I want to hear what you have to say about it.

You must really love piano!  How much do you practice each day?  I'll let the more knowledgeble people comment on that piece, for I've never heard it before now.

Amazing!  This had a lot of energy in it, and you conveyed the 'Bartok-ism' of it all very well (if that even makes sense).  I think you could pull this off very well in concert.

Frankly, I don't see how anyone could expect playing of this quality from someone your age - you will certainly either ellicit jealously or admiration from the older pianists on this forum.

This is in book 6 of Mikrocosmos. I played another piece from this book, Free Variations, at a concert last year.
