name of piece played by e.kissin????

  hey all....

  im sure you can help...

  im looking for the full name of an encore piece played by e.kissin after his pictures and   exhibition recital a few years back....

 it was a stravinsky paraphrase(i think) and was an arrangement by someone(maybe rubinstein,i cant remember)..


im sure a few of you will know...

if it was waltzy - he did encore strauss/grunfeld fleidermaus alot a few years ago

  yes.sorry stevie it was strauss not stranvinsky...........

   who arranged the piece and what was its full name

   and yeah........definately waltzy

I have not played that one in particular, but have played his "Emporers Waltz".

Grunfeld is a good start if you want to play Strauss Transcriptions and have not done so before, because they are a hell of a lot easier then Friedman, Dohnanyi and the like.

The Godowsky-Strauss transcriptions are for supermen.
