I'll start - Australia
Kicked Eugene Goosens out coz he was carrying some porn pictures in his suitcase - bloody conservative Australia!

This must have been ages ago, I went on an overseas school trip with some mates 4 years ago and when we got back my mate's luggage got searched and the customs bloke found a random playboy. Hil-a-rious.

In terms of "crimes against music", the one that hurts me the most is the destruction of the many recordings Friedman made during his final years.

Politically:

The arch-conservatism/xenophobia of the Howard years.

Howard appointing nothing but conservatives to the High Court.

I voted for Latham because Howard is just a vertically challenged twit with sycophantic tendencies.

White Australia Policy (how long before we see the second coming? I wonder)

So called representative democracy in Federalism, which renders us territorians nothing more than second class citizens.

randomly:

I don't know how this came about but Australia must have the dumbest population of any nation. Australians are just so stupid, and don't get me started on the media!

I'll think of more later. I love my country. :)

yeh, Goosens died in the 70's I think, it was back in the 50's.

Was Friedman Australian? or did he record here?

I guess I'll add the new workplace laws since no one can shut up about them and people seem to be worse off!
Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.

He was polish but he spent the last few years of his life in Australia (from like WWII until the end), and I think he died on Australia Day.
