Alkan Concerts
on: May 22, 2006, 10:21:02 AM
These seem extremely rare in the UK. Ive been looking since Christmas and not seen one yet... I so badly want to see Hamelin play Symphony and Concerto for Solo piano - or anyone for that matter! (but Hamelin especially!)
Also, I want to see Hamelin too... whatever he plays. His website says he has no concerts in teh Uk but a piano festival down in southhampton has him playing some godowsky/chopin etudes...
I cant travel too far though as I live in Lancashire (North West)...
Just wondering if any of you have seen him advertised... he should be playing some late beethoven but i think he under-advertises himself...
