Liszt - Jeux d'eau... Cortot notes
on: May 23, 2006, 04:35:08 PM
hi, i posted a while ago about finding free sheet music for this piece (Jeux d'Eau a la villa d'Este). i have been unsuccessful and i have saved up a bit to buy the actual thing. does anyone know a site selling this on UK? i dont wanna buy from US because i need it ASAP. i've done searches and i am finding it difficult to find. all help would be much appreciated.

Gruff

also, does "arranged by cortot" mean that it has all his technical help and notes?

yes.  cortot put notes into the (cover?) salabert published score.  i looked in the moldenhauer archives and thought i found it, but it wouldn't print out.  so then, i found another site:
https://bijscholing.vub.ac.be/extra/scoreslist.htm  and you have to have acrobat to print

but - it says you can e-mail this guy:  [email protected]

and, there's www.sheetmusicplus.com/a/phrase.html?id=71220&phrase=Les+Jeux

for the best price that i found (i think $9.95 or something).

try your local music library, too, for a copy to look at until you get your score!

tried to get this to print:  https://horowitzscores.deaddog.org  but am confused.  guess you have to ask scott hand at [email protected]  if he has the score.  i didn't see it on the list but would think that he might know where to get it.

i will 2nd that. if i go ahead with plans for musc, then i get a year more of parental funding :p.

the music should arrive on tuesday or wednesday *sighs*.  i have to perform it on the 20th june and 1st July, i have been learning it for 2 and half months, but only started technical practice a week ago. was just doing memorizing before that and i could only average (and still only) 30 mins per day coz of final year exams. last one on 23rd june, woot.
