Question about Las Vegas
on: May 29, 2006, 05:58:31 PM
Well I recently won a few nights stay and a few tickets to a show in Vegas and I want to take my girlfriend, but she's only 20. She wants to know if it's still a fun place even if you're under 21.

Though, she won't be able to gamble, but you guys can go to those glamorous shows. I mean, they are just as famous as gambling. Also, to me, I feel that it's enough just to sight see all those mimicked landmarks (I was under 21 until this year, so, take my word for it.) Otherwise, you can always leave her at the kiddie playgrounds, she can win some raffle tickets (and you guys can break up on your ride home...)

Been there a few weeks ago to see the Cirque Du Soleil "Mystère" show (at Treasure Island). It was really good. Kinda pricy, but the performers deserved every penny for what they did. There's also a reastaurant on the main floor of Treasure Island calld "Dishes" that serves a pretty good all you can eat buffet breakfast. Mind you this was only part of my vacation and I only spent one night in Vegas.
You could also go to Circus Circus, as there's an all ages midway type area above the casino.
Just go tour the strip, plenty to see day or night. Plenty of photo op places.
Not enough? Go see the Hoover Dam.

what do her parents say about the idea? can't say i'd be thrilled. if it were me (but of course this is a mom speaking) - i'd sort of go with the idea that a sis or bro would tag along (or, as you might think, 'God forbid') the parents go and stay in a room nearby. the reason i say this is that many crimes occur in las vegas. if she is a good looking young girl, you're probably not the only one that finds her attractive. leaving a person, even for a few minutes there (whether at a table - or gambling, or whatever) with people who have been drinking is just not a very safe idea. you don't want her to end up missing or dead (which does happen!).
