perfume and cologne testing and smelling is my favorite relaxation 'thing.' i am, as we speak, sniffing a tester for a men's cologne called 'intuition' which came with some estee lauder stuff. but, i think estee knows how to make women's perfume but NOT men's. it smells too, nice? i think men should smell a bit like a man.
wondering about this new one that has 'nautical' in the label. forget the entire label. anyway - from what i hear - certain smells either blend with ur natural body smell or not. some clash. it's really a personal thing.
someplace in nyc will do custom scents for people. i think this is a really great idea. i hate wearing a perfume that i can smell another woman wearing. the idea of being unique in clothing and perfume appeals to me. smell is a very potent thing - but too much of it can turn people off. maybe for women and men - during the day should just use a body splash or something. sometimes it causes allergies for others if it's too 'loud.'
also, for men and women i would think scented water (splashed on) would be a lighter scent. if u pour it in the tub (not sure if u could spray it in the shower?) u could get some nice scent even throughout hair.
was at linens-n-things and they had these really nice scented candles for men (a certain brand). that seems kinda appealing too. if u go into a person's home and it has a nice smell - it's more attractive than the no smell or terrible smell.
yesterday - i lighted by scented candles when cleaning the carpet. it gives the wet carpet a scent to stick to it. i think when it dries it has a better smell. i also, whenver i can afford it - put cologne or perfume in the wet vac water and it goes directly on the carpet via the vac. that is a good way to have a nice smell throughout the house - but takes a while to do. am starting to hate the regular scents (rose water, lavender, vanilla) and like the exotic scents (mango, coconut, herbal scents). guess that it's a matter of perspective. my husband hates scents - so i put it on in the morning and the smells dissipate a little by evening.
