Yes, I can take lessons, I'm just not sure If I can handle two degrees and two instruments although the saxophone prof said that I could do it and he reccomends that I do.
I don't know if there's a sax forum out there, esp. for classical saxophone which is basicly unknown. (and what I'm taking, not jazz, sadly)

Ask your prof for sax recommendations.  Maybe he could get one for you?  You don't want to buy something and have him wishing you bought something else.

Congratuations btw. :)

Thank you, I'm actually just writting an e-mail right now, He knows who I am (which is a total plus) and he offered to go shopping with me at my audtion!  He goes to France to buy his saxophones fairly regularly, he's very, um... particular about his intruments.  I've actually been looking at the one that he currently owns, and he also sometimes sells his old saxophones to his students, so maybe I can get my hands on one of those.

I'll be teaching secondary school, so you really enjoyed it then? I had a chance to sit in on one class that my band teacher's wife teaches for primary school music education.  It was a lot of fun, I just don't think I'm up to taking on 30-40  6 year-olds though. Kids frighten me.

Congrats!

I love the sound of a Series II.  One of my past teachers played one.  So what extra does a Series III have?
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

It's the "classical" pro selemr series II can go either jazz or classical III has and extra hole so the C# doesn't sound as flat and crappy.  I can't remember what else. there was so much stuff, I couldn't absorb all of it.
