Fabio Bidini - Fabulous pianist

I recently discovered him. I think he is really really good. Stunning technique, allways very musical. Opinions on him or on particular records he made ? Here's his site:

His technique is very clean and is suited to the classical literature, which seems to be his focus. Yes he is musical but I felt a certain emotional reserve in his playing, as well as a tendency towards monochromatic playing. Still, he's very good. I would go to hear him live.

He was a finalist in the 9th Van Cliburn, so I'd definitely go see him! ;D

I've heard Fabio many times and he is an excellent pianist, and an excellent teacher.  For a while he was teaching in Dallas though I do not know if he still is.  His repertoire is vast and amazing, and is actually true, unlike this other charlatan who was mentioned on these pages a few weeks ago (I've been out of town).  He can play over 70 concertos on 1 or 2 day's notice, depending on the concerto (Busoni? two days).  This summer, from July 16-July 30 he will be at the Mannes Keyboard Institute in New York City.  I encourage anyone who is in the area to go hear his masterclasses and / or concerts!
