let's try again- this site is retarded on my computer! it keeps running freakishly slow and then stops working altogether so i essentially can't move past the index page and it's driving me nuts! is it my computer or is nils doing something that's causing the forum to crash?

At the time you posted your message the daily backups were taken which causes a very high load on the server leading to slow respones or no response at for up to an hour.
It is always done early mornings (European time) which is the most "off peak" time for this website. A while ago this was done quite qickly but now, because of the very large amount of forum attachments, sheet music and recordings it takes unacceptably long time.

I am working on the problem and will probably have a better solution ready within a few weeks.
