chopin concerto fingering
on: July 04, 2006, 02:05:14 AM
hey guys, does anyone have a good fingering for the opening bars of chopin's second concerto op 21 (fminor)? i started this piece a couple days ago, and i'm still trying to find the perfect fingering for that section. the edition that i'm using has the right hand fifth finger crossing over the first, which results in an awkward jump. can anyone come up with something better?

thanx!

It was a while ago I played it, but if my finger memory is correct I use 3 152 3 152 3... which is probably the same as your score says. I also tried the suggestion above when I learnt it, but found that over time the 3 152 works very well. Practice slowly...

Good luck with the concerto - it's a great piece.
