Final Fantasy Piano Collections
on: December 25, 2003, 08:42:13 AM
After discovering this great forum a few days ago and reading through a lot of the posts i couldn't help but wonder if any of you had heard of or played the Final Fantasy Piano Collections? (composed by Nobuo Uematsu) While they may not be as technically difficult to play as some of the harder classical pieces they have beautiful melodies and are great fun to play.  If you haven't heard them i recommend you give them a listen.

I have played many of them, they are very loved with the "non-musical" audience:). I love the FF Piano Collections, and I also love Final Fantasy.

Where can you find recordings and sheet music to these? I know of friends who play guitar transcriptions of them, but not piano.

I'm so glad somebody mentiones this! They FF piano collection is GREAT! Especially from FF8 and FFX. I learnt To Zanarkand (FFX theme), Eyes on Me (FF8), Julia's Solo (variation from Eyes on Me) errr, I started the Sky Theme. But heck, they're ALL great. I don't know if any1 else did but  I found this site from a link on www.ocremix.org/index and it has some great remixes of the FF pieces. Check FF7 "A world of piano" by Klutz. It's the nicest piece I ever heard!

Final Fantasy is a game. Well a series of games. So far there FF-FF13 I think and a few others on the side. By far the greatest RPG's ever made. And most, if not all, of them have some GREAT piano pieces. If you want to check the game out go to https://www.eyesonff.com/ well there's HEAPS off FF sites but that one seems good enough.

I don't like the Piano Collections so much, I lean to more accurate transcriptions. So I play some FF stuff, mostly from FFVI, in my own arrangements. They are at https://danielbrown.vgpiano.com/audio.htm

The site above has some Michael Huang arrangements, check out his website finalfantasyreborn.com for all of Michael Huang's piano arrangements of Final Fantasy.  He only has a few of the main songs from all the final fantasies, but they are amazing.  He has MP3's available for you to listen to his arrangements, and all the sheet music free for download.  Dancing Mad from Final fantasy 6 is amazing!  I would say most of his pieces are somewhat difficult/technical.
