Variations on an original theme. Anybody ever play this piece? Comments, if so? It reminds me of his late pieces, slow and introspective mostly, with some faster chord-heavy variations sprinkled in. The recording I have of it by Katchen is lovely. It sounds pretty do-able technically, too.
