Bohemia piano
on: July 19, 2006, 03:51:58 AM
I am thinking of 123 or 125 of Bohemia piano. How is the sound quality & touch? Can anyone tell whether the difference between the 2 models? How does Bohemia compares to Pramberger, or Yamaha U3?

"Sound quality" & "touch" should be judged by your own ears and your own fingers. If those are the criteria you want to use to compare to Pramberger or Yamaha U3 or any other piano, you have to go play/listen to them and judge for yourself.
Price-wise, I would expect Bohemia to come in much cheaper than Yamaha U3, though most likely more expensive than Pramberger upright of comparable size.
In terms of reliability and durability, Yamaha U3 has the longest "good" track record, longer than either Bohemia and Pramberger by a long stretch. At this point, I think Bohemia has a longer track record than the new Pramberger uprights.

The Bohemia 125 is a fine upright. It has a lighter touch and the tone tends to be a little on the brighter side. I like it but that's a matter of personal taste. I would not have any concerns with quality. I would try it along with the Yamaha and Pramberger and pick the one you like best.
