Shostakovich P+F no.7
on: July 28, 2006, 05:15:51 PM
Hey

im currently preparing Shostakovich's prelude and fugue no.7 in A major, Op.87 for a masterclass in September.

Any tips or comments?  I'm finding some rhythms tricky and the key changes confusing.

Is this P+F one of the harder ones?

Thanks.

I love Shostakovitch P&F's but they're all out of my league except the first, lol.
I don't think N.7 is one of the hardest though. Fugues 11, 15, 17 & 21 seem to be terrible b***es.
