yes. but how much does she make? over here, everything is taxed ( i guess like everywhere else). if you are 'self employed,' you don't bring home what you think you made.
bearzinthehood, you're right. selling mercedez benz would get old after a couple years. i mean - once you have the money - you can move to something else, right? i think this kid didn't want to go to college right away - but he might be in college now. his parents could afford to send him the first year - but he didn't want to do college right away.
i tell my son - just take a job. any job. when you work for someone else - they pay health, medical, benefits (unless it's part-time) - and you get the 'take home' pay (and they figure all the other stuff for you since they have accountants. when you work for yourself, you do EVERYTHING. accounting, taxes, everything. it looks easy - but it's really a matter of being very tight fisted. i mean - my husband when he was self employed kept track of mileage and gas and time. if you forget - then later you're stuck with unknown costs that eat into your profit.
plus, i've never really met a concert artist that wasn't starving in some way or other. it's like saying 'the world loves classical music' - when in actual fact - it's probably 15% or less. old people ususually. of course, if you have a few older women willing you their estates - that would be nice! depends on how well you play.
bearzinthehood, you're just mad at me because i said you had a babyface the first time. well, join the club. i don't look a bit over 21 (that's what an old lady said in my husband's church). she couldnt' see very well. it's a good thing to look young when you're young because then you'll age well, right?!
