Samick SIG-48 versus Perzina GP129
on: August 13, 2006, 02:56:16 PM
Hi all,

I need some help in deciding which piano to buy. I am searching for a new piano for my church and now I have narrowed down to only 2 choices. There is the Samick grand piano, SIG-48, the smallest grand piano available vesus the Perzina GP129, the tallest upright piano.

Can anyone give me some helps in whether you know about these 2 kinds of piano and anything you know that you heard about them?

I have heard someone trading in a Perzina upright (not sure of its height) for this Samick grand because the Perzina piano lost its tone colour after 2 years. A piano dealer commented it was due to the fact that this Perzina owner did not use proper tuning and thus the tone colour of the piano was affected. I do not know how true this is but does anyone know if this is true?

Overall, I am very satisfied with the sound of Perzina and the price is very worth for its tone and height, etc. but the Samick will give more volume since it is a grand piano.

Can anyone give any help? Thanks in advance.

It's not true. The Perzina is the one vertical that I know of that can blow away a SIG-48 away volume wise, and has a much better bass response.
