Scriabin Etude Op. 8, No. 3....Help!
on: August 15, 2006, 07:24:26 PM
I was wondering how i'm suppose to approach this piece fingering wise both in the LH and the RH. If someone can help me out with a finger sequence for the first few bars, that would be great b/c right now I don't know what fingerings I should be trying. Once I get that straight out, perhaps I can plow through this Etude...

The fingering of this piece is very simple: the single notes with 2, the octaves with 1+5 (in some cases the single note with 3, the octave with 1+4)
To understand the fingering, play the piece with all octaves accentuated (in the left hand single notes accentuated)
There is always pedal to use, so you don't have to play all notes with fingerlegato.
