ha wow that brings back memories....it was actually one of dino's pieces that got me to actually care about playing the piano: "heaven" if u've heard of it. i played it for a competition a while back.....uh yeah well as for dino, he does like glissandos, i haven't listened 2 him since i was really not very advanced at all in piano and couldn't tell the dif between bach and chopin, and since i've never heard maksim, i can't really make a comparison, but yes i have heard of dino, so i thought i'd post

When I was in high school, I absolutely LOVED Dino! Now, I don't care for his style, although the Gospel message that he presents is incredible, as the message of God's love is incredible, no matter how it is presented! He is VERY technically gifted, but is too "showy" for my taste. That's not a criticism by any means, it's just my personal preference. He has several piano books with wonderful arrangements of hymns and choruses. His books are published by Lexicon Music. (At least his old ones were--like 15 years ago). I've even seen him in concert several times, having even travelled 150 miles to see him!

Maksim is a kind of "pop" pianist, who (in my opinion) mangles piano music into some form that would be somewhat acceptable to the masses. There is a thread about him about halfway down the "performance" board. The thread is titled "Maksim"
