Does anyone have pieces by Alicia Keys?
on: January 08, 2004, 10:59:10 PM
Hi, this is my first post, i just wanted to know if anyone has pieces that Alicia keys have played like "how come you dont call me" or "womans worth" if so i would appreciate it if you could send me the notes.  I was looking at one of the posts and I thought it was interesting, something about thinking it was too late to learn to play the piano.  I was kind of getting discouraged because I couldn't believe how much I loved to play the piano, i just didn't have a piano. So in school i was taking Piano 1 for the first time and i was 13 or 14 everyone in there had pretty much been playing for many years and had a piano. I became more into school because of my piano class. I just need some advice because I also think that It's too late to get somewhere playing the piano. I look at Alicia Keys, she is a GREAT inspiration to me, and she has been playing since she was 5 and I think its amazing how someone can be so devoted to music like that.

Actually I've got a student working on quite a few of Alicia Keys' songs, I'll photocopy some for you when she comes in for her next lesson. I think the book's called "Songs in A minor", not exactly sure.
