Roland or Yamaha?
on: September 06, 2006, 07:11:13 PM
Quick question to anyone who may own or have played on either the clavinova clp-270 or roland hp107, basically which one is superior for more advanced piano practicing. The clavinova I know seems better to me because of the 4 way dynamic sampling for each key on the board, dont think the roland has anything like that. However I think the roland keys are weighted without springs like the clavinova. They are roughly the same price, the Yamaha being a bit more though.

Cheers.

I have a Clavinova myself, and prefer the Yamaha touch. I've met a lot of pianists who prefer Roland, however. Choose the one that feels most comfortable for yourself.

I have similar Clavinova and although I like it a lot, today I would go for Roland.

Youve got to be crazy if you dont pick the Roland...
They are the most advanced keyboard availabe...Everything about them is truly marvelous...
I own a roland, but also play a Yamaha clavinova quite a bit...And would never put the Yamaha before it.

I personally think Yamaha is better ;-) brighter sound, nicer keys, more realistic touch than the roland :p

it's personal taste i guess
