looking for pieces for my university test ??

hi,

i am looking for pieces for my university test in the category "POP & JAZZ - Music". i have to play three pieces.. my piano teacher says, they should not be to long and show a short impression of my skills.

the first melody i am goin to play is:
Vince Guaraldi - Linus & Lucy

do you have some other tips for me ?

Well the main reason you didn't get any replies is that most people in here (myself included are classical pianists), however I have done other stuff as well.

It depends a bit on what exactly you want, but there's some good modern jazz by McCoy Tyler (or it might be Tyner), if you want to do something a bit more 'classica' and strict then look at Gershwin's Preludes, they're really good, short, and the first and last one's are quite showy. Can't really think of anything else at the moment - this really isn't my area.

Oh, you could look at some Herbie Hancock, stuff like 'The Sorceror'.
