on: September 13, 2006, 09:21:04 PM
by the end of this schoolyear i'm going to have solo recital bla bla

i'd like to hear some opinions about my repertoire, what could i put, what not, etc.

bach p&f either d minor (II) or f minor

beethoven sonata op.26

liszt la campanella

-----------------------------------------------------

josipović diabolezza (modern croatian piece)

rachmaninov etudes tableaux op.33 Es dur
                                                op.33 g minor
                                               op.39 n.1 c minor

chopin 3rd ballade

encores:?? maybe nocturne, or learn nocturne for concert program and then some other encore?

i'd like to see some suggestions  :)

I would put the Nocturne in the program, and take something more light and Flashy than a Nocturne as the encore  :)

That way, if you're tired by the end of the performance, you can just run away :D
That's the price you pay for being moderate in everything.  See, if I were you, my name would be Ilovepie.  But that's just me.

Is the scarlatti K 9 (L 413)? That is one of my favourites.

hehe thats what i was thinking too. which one would you put in this program? i like first one, 27/2, 48/1,2, cis mol op posth, e minor op posth..

etudes, i don't want la campanella as an encore, it looks quite cool written after beethoven  :P
maybe i could learn some short flashy piece? need advices...

as for scarlatti, i don't know, it's short, 3 pages long..it isn't toccata if its that what you mean.  :-[

Hmm...Poulenc Presto would fit very fine for an encore
very short and flashy

I would suggest either op.62 no.1 (Sokolov played it as an Encore) or op.48 no.1

What about some Bach transcriptions for encore, or a Chopin Mazurka.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
