HeyMy teacher hand picked some of her best students to perform piano at some nursing home , I accepted and decided to perform Liebestraum No.3 by Liszt. I think that song is great, It's got a nice melody, and its very difficult. But every time I play it I have my mother in my ear saying "Oh, I don't like that, I hate that" or "That doesn't show your talent, I've heard you play harder things, blah blah blah blah". Now I understand because she doesn't play piano and she doesn't understand how hard it can be, I shown her a video of Lang Lang playing this piece to show her how difficult it really is but she just got angry and still said she hates it.What do you guys think, do you think its a good choice, Liebestraume No.3. I just pictured it, its slow, and its got 2 fast hard cadenzas. I think it shows off alot of talent if you play it right. ??
I think that song is great
wow! did you write lyrics to it???
And remember that among us piano-nerds calling a piece of music without lyrics a song creates more fury than listening to a Horowitz bootleg
You guys have to understand, I'm a retard. When I type I tend to blabber on, use incorrect spelling and punctuation and yes, I will call a sonata, a piece and even a polonaise a song at times.
i can see.
I'm glad you understand.
