Liszt-Busoni: Fantasia & Fugue on ad nos salutarem undam by Meyerbeer
on: September 21, 2006, 05:59:28 PM
Transcribed for solo piano from Liszt's duo piano version from Liszt's organ piano version. Confusing, eh?
My big black book calls it the greatest of Liszt's Organ works, and an online source states that the solo piano version shows it in all its glory. Does anyone have this? Sounds amazing.

For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert. (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)

Did Liszt ever make a solo piano version of this piece, or is there only the Busoni>
