Silent Piano
on: October 14, 2006, 07:06:04 AM
Hello everyone,
I know I might have tried asking a technician with the local dealers, but since I know some guys here have the actual use of the silent piano, can anyone tell me if the
auxilliary-in functions as a plug in for external device like the cd player which sound can be heard through the headphone? And can such sound and the piano be heard at the same time?
Thanks,
Judith

Hi linzeth,
As you would have seen from the contributions to the other "Silent Piano" topic started by dmk, what you get is just a plain keyboard - ofcourse with almost all the feel and touch of a good Acoustic. But the sounds comes from an external electronic "black box" through a selector for GP, Electric Piano, Organ etc.
This is like a MIDI keyboard for inputting notes.
How authentic the sounds are? That is the big question. Can be very subjective.

Sounds are sampled from CF111 concert grand!! (U3) - VERY realistic. Regarding your input query - its a good one Unfortunately I dont know. Im not very technically minded. They do publish a small booklet with the piano but for midi it tells you that there are many books written on midi functions/possibilities and go buy one! I havent... I know that it is possible to have 2 headphones going at the same time and you can hear each other as duet whether you can feed any ohther source in and hear it through the headphones I dont know.
