Need an etude

I have been working on Liszt's La Campanella for the past couple weeks, and it's been coming along, but I would like an etude that is less overplayed and less empty musically for auditions in the future.  Can anyone recommend an etude by Liszt, Rachmaninoff, or Scriabin of similar difficulty?  I was considering, Liszt's Gnomenreigen, Rachmaninoff's Op.39 no.6, or Scriabin Op.42 no.5.

Have you already played the Chopin Etudes? How about some of sparkling ones (op. 10/5; op 10/8); or the more dramatic ones such op. 10/4 and the last three of op. 25? Otherwise, Liszt's TE no. 10 (appassionata).

Rach etudes: Op 33 #5 in Eb minor, Op 39 #1 C minor, 4 B minor, 5 Eb minor, 6 A minor, 8 D minor would all be good choices

I'd agree with your choices. Those pieces are certainly demanding(technicaly) and I would not consider them empty musically.
Why don't you consider some chopin etudes though? And Liszt Trois Etude de Concert no.3( It's good but I certaily wouldn't say that it's underplayed.).

For you, out of Scriabin's etudes (besides 42-5) I would suggest the following:

Op.8 No.2 in F# minor
Op.8 No.5 in E major
Op.8 No.9 in G# minor
Op.8 No.10 in Db major
Op.8 No.12 in D# minor

Op.42 No.1 in Db major
Op.42 No.6 in Db major
Op.42 No.8 in Eb major

Op.65 No.3 (etude in 5ths)

I decided not to do Liszt since I am already working on Campanella.

42-5 is harder than 39-6 in my opinion.

What about Saint-Saens Etude en Forme de Valse?

Or perhaps Godowsky Etude on Chopin Op. 10 No. 1 for contrary motion?

Il Lamento, #1 from the 3 Concert Etudes by Liszt is not over-played.

I love the Liszt Paganini #2 in E-flat major, which almost no one plays.
