Three Weeks ago I had a Yamaha U3 Silent Piano delivered to my home. It is a used model, about six years old and made for the Japanese market. The acoustic part of the piano is fine. However, when I use the electronic keyboard, I have found the response to be horrible.
The volume of the keys fluctuate and it is not any one particular key. I can be playing a piece and hit a note that is so very loud that it really hurts my ears. I really don't think that it working appropriately and the dealer had informed that there was not a warrenty associated with the Midi. I have not yet contacted him about this but will today. Any advice? Has anyone experienced this problem? I have also noted that one key doesn't even play electronically.
I did test this out before I purchased it in the showroom, but really didn't notice these problems until the first time I sat down to play it in my home.
Thanks for any input!
