Kabalevsky sonata!

Im going to learn the sonata in f major (?) op 46! I think this piece is very unknown and rarely played.
   Have anyone heard of it? Have anyone here played it? Do you think it's beautiful!? Any critics?

i have heard all 3 of the sonatas by kabalevsky and i gotta say that i prefer the e flat major sonata, op 45.

GREAT PIECE!  I've played it, and I absolutely love it.  I see it as pseudo-Prokofiev, having a less in-your-face sarcasm, and a generally more romantic feel.

I recommend the Horowitz recording; the only other I've heard was Moiseiwitsch, but I really dislike it.

PM me, I can send you my recording of it.

BTW, I've never heard the other two, I'm curious what they're like.

Sonata No. 3 is great; I don't think you'll find anyone who dislikes it.
