Hey everybody-

I have  7' Bosendorfer.  It has a pure singing tone and a rich bass.  Before it I had 2 Petrofs and a Chickering.

I have a 1999 5'9" Kohler and Campbell ebony polished baby grand.  I looked at uprights and spinets but they didn't provide the sound I demanded, so I took out a loan and got the one I needed.

If money were no object, of course, I would have the Steinway model D.

...I don't have my own piano. I am forced to wander the streets dressed as a homeless person, waiting for a nice-hearted couple to call me in for some soup. If I am lucky, they have a piano in there house, and I ask them if I could play. It's really hard to practice like this - I mean so irregularly, but it beats not playing at all.

Just bought a Charles Walter console-styled studio, and I love it.  It is the size of console, but has long-keys and full-size direct-blow action.

No room in the house for a grand, but this relatively small piano has a huge soundboard for its size and long strings.  I actually preferred its sound to the smaller grands (under six feet) that I could have stretched my budget for, specifically Young Chang, Pramberger, Kawai, Yamaha.

My dream piano would be a Bluthner grand, but I'd need both big bucks and a bigger house.

This past labor day, I was very fortunate to finally own my first grand  - a brand new PETROF V (5'3") in Ebony.

I still have a 8 year old ROLAND FP8 digital piano

Cheers

in 1989 i bought a Bluthner 7'7", new , built the same year...

lovely instrument, excellent craftmanship, solid as a rock.

I changed the hammers about 4 years ago, Abel of course.
It doesn't forgive any flaws in tone control though...i think it has a built-in function that returns a very ugly value. :D

I have a brand new pearl river gp142.  Anyone who has any experience with this brand of pianos let me know.  of course if you have any longterm experience with it then its probably not one of the better models out there as the factory just recently updated it manufacturing process. to me for a 4'7" baby grand,  this baby puts out some nice sound.  but then again, who wouldnt be saying that after owning  a wurlitzer spinet for 20 years :)
