quoting problem
on: January 06, 2007, 11:35:11 PM
When I try to quote someone, my computer freezes up. It won't let me type, click, or anything else. I end up having to restart my computer.  Is this my computer's problem or something else?

Try paraphrasing.

Add a little parenthetical note like this ----------->  [paraphrase]

That should outsmart the gremlin in your computer.

Do you get the problem when using the quote button instead of the reply button to get to the post reply page or is it when using the "Insert Quote" links in the topic summary on the post reply page?

The second one uses java scripts in combination with a popup window which could possibly cause problems if the java script settings or implementation in your browser are not correct   or if java script or popups are blocked.
Which browser (and version) are you using and are you blocking popups?
