Bolcom's Nine Bagatelles

Anyone had much luck w/ Bolcom's Nine Bagatelles when performing? Seems many audiences relate to this as almost "too modern" or different.....certainly doesn't seem to get the reaction of the popular "tried and trues"!
Any ideas on this?
