I used to hate Mozart, thought he was tedious and simple, but now i feel like proclaiming my respect for his music. I heard the requiem and piano concerto no.1, this was enough to convert me - - anyone who thinks they dislike mozart really should listen to a wide range of his music cause they don't know what they are missing.


Does anyone have a piano transcription for the requiem ? I'd be delighted to see it

ive given mozart too many chances as it is. his concertos are ok though

Pardon the poor tasteless young man.  I recommend K310, K331-K333, and the K475 and 457 pair, and the C minor concerto.  Fantastic!

I love his Jupiter Symphony (even though it doesn't have any piano in it...). In fact, I'm listening to the Andante cantible part right now.

I totally agree with your post, and add Horowitz's recording of K330 and no.23 concerto.

And actually, I don't recommend people start with Mozart's piano-work first, as cliched as it sounds, they should go with the famous symphonies of Mozart. Then move onto the more particular works.
